She was predeceased by: her parents, Salvador Rivas and Soledad Burgos; her significant other Joaquin Hernandez; and her siblings, Angela, Victoria (Toya), Carmen, Domingo, Pepe and Moncho.

She is survived by: her sister Ana Maria Rivas of El Salvador; her son Eduardo Hernandez; her daughter-in-law Mayra of Brampton; her son Fernando Hernandez; her daughter-in-law Carol of London; and her grandchildren, Tatiana and Eddie. She is also survived by her extended family which include many nieces and nephews.
