It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Ruth Chalmers of London, Ontario, who passed away at the age of 99, on July 12, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Earl Chalmers; her parents, Joseph Kent and Margaret Kent (Gamble); and her siblings, Harold (Dorothy Kent), Doris (Jack Crawford), Margaret (Art Chesney), Gilbert Beattie (Hugh Beattie), Marie (Horace Thomson) and Barbara (Herb Eitel).
She is survived by: her children, David Chalmers of London, Jane of London, Guy Engels of London, Robert and Armanda Chalmers of Kitchener; her grandchildren, Lisa Spicer (Jonathan), Christina Parker (Steven), Meghan Francis (Dillon), Matthew Chalmers, Madison Chalmers (Jack Morton) and Morgan Chalmers (Eric Brooks); and her nephew Larry Beattie.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Palmerston United Church (215 James St, Palmerston, ON N0G2P0). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the James Street United Church (215 James St, Palmerston, ON N0G2P0). She was thankful to spend 18 months during COVID safely living with Jane & Guy and loved seeing and getting to know her great-grandchildren during that time.
