He is survived by: his wife Joyce Lediet (Stewart); his children, Jeremy Lediet and Nicole Richardson (Luke); and his grandchildren, Anna Coates (Caleb), Mckenzie Lediet (Cody), Jacob Coates, Sydney Richardson and Cameron Lediet.

“I knew Steve in my late teens, we had many fun times. Steve was a very generous man. Of course our lives took different paths and I had not seen Steve for many decades. Thanks to our mutual friend Sharon Scrimshaw I was made aware of his passing, and that brought back many memories of swimming at the lake and driving the country roads very early in the morning. My sympathy to all who knew Steve.”
