He was predeceased by: his son Stefanos; his daughter-in-law Nicole; his nephew Louis Demopoulos; and his parents, Stefanos Makris and Vasiliki Makris.
He is survived by: his wife Aglaia; his children, Vasiliki Babalis (Jim), Efrocine Makris and Georgia Vilos (Lefteris); his siblings, Eleni and Aggelis; and his nephew Jim Demopoulos.
