She was predeceased by: her husband Howard Isaacs; and her parents, William Burnett and Marjorie Burkholder. She is survived by: her children, Benjamin Isaacs (Kaleigh Valois) and Rebecca Isaacs (Ella); her grandchild Jupiter Isaacs; her brothers, Bill and David Burnett; and her niece Marjorie Burnett.

Susan spent the next 14 years dedicated to Howard's care, advocating for him while he lived with Alzheimer's. It was an incredibly difficult journey, but one she handled with devotion and grace.
