He was predeceased by: his son-in-law Shawn McCurdy; and his nephew Casey Engel. He is survived by: his spouse Sheila; his children, Rob (Melody), Kerri (Dave) and Tracey (Kevin); his grandchildren, Braenna, Hadleigh, Cooper, Jessica Michael (Christina) and Jared; his great grandchild Paxton; and his sisters, Robertha Smith and Kathryn Engel (Bob). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Trevor's memory may be made to the London Regional Cancer Program or Heart and Stroke Foundation.
