He was predeceased by: his wives, Jessie Morton and Sharon Laskey; his sister Dora St; his brother-in-law Fernand St. Laurent; and his parents, Joe Vanderhoeven and Adele Vanderhoeven.

He is survived by: his close friend Anne Heddington-Daniels; his children, John Vanderhoeven (Teresa), Susan Vanderhoeven and Tom Vanderhoeven; his grandchildren, Tina Ford (Josh) of London, J. J. Vanderhoeven (Kristen) of London and Samantha Bartlett of London; his great grandchildren, Ben Ford, Keaton and Porter Vanderhoeven; his brothers, Rudy Vanderhoeven (Annette) and John Vanderhoeven (Mary Lou); his brother-in-law Jim Toogood; and his nieces and nephews, Lyne, Jean (Natalie St. Laurent), Mike, Steve (Joe Toogood) and Krista (Kelly Vanderhoeven).
