She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Brown and Esther Brown; her siblings, Russell Brown, Earl Brown and Pauline Young; and her brother-in-law Tommy Powell.

She is survived by: her spouse Jerry Powell; her children, Greg (Heather), Guy (Barb), Denise (William) and David (Caroline); her siblings, Bernice Cohoe, Clara Cook, Lorne Brown and Robert Brown; and her siblings-in-law, Johnny Powell and Donna Kenner. She is also survived by friends, and many nieces and nephews.
