He was predeceased by: his wife Linda "Anne" Gow (McMillan); his son William; his brother-in-law Tom McMillan (Melody); and his parents, Lorne Gow and Aurora Durnan.

He is survived by: his children, Dallas (Kylene Walker) and Jayden; his grandchildren, Adelaide, Charlotte and Langdon; his siblings, Trent Gow (Jacqueline), Susan Gow and Marg Morrison (Larry); his brothers-in-law, Mike McMillan (Marilyn), Bob McMillan and Tim McMillan (Karen); and his aunt Lillian Dodd. He is also survived by many cousins, several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
