He was predeceased by: his parents, Betty Murphy and Gerald Murphy; his uncle Bill; and his aunt Norine Murphy. He is survived by: his siblings, Gary (Jill), Gerald (Gloria), Mike (Connie), Charlene Bell (Tom) and Paul (Christine); his aunt Doreen; his uncle Pete Schussler; his close friend Don; and also, Ziggy and Cinder. He is also survived by friends and co-workers.

“To the entire Murphy family. I was very shocked and saddened to hear of Bill's recent death. I had the pleasure of working with Bill at McDonald's Restaurant's in Canada. I initially met him when he was a manager but we became good friends. I enjoyed hanging out with him at the "Final Score" playing a game called "Burger Time". I once had the opportunity to meet his large and gifted family. Please know that you are all in my thoughts & prayers. Fondly; Lynda (Smith) Wilkie; Sun City, AZ.”
