We announce the death of John James Blacklaws of Loretto, Ontario, who passed away on August 25, 2026. John James will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his siblings, Janet Pickett (Jim) and David. He is survived by: his wife Irene Blacklaws; his children, Larry (Lynda), Mike (Christine), Terry and Karen Grehan (Jamie); his grandchildren, Rebecca, Darren (Heather), Emily (Nick), Craig, Hannah (Jeremy) and Kevin (Bita); his great grandchild Jack; and his siblings, Margaret Bricknell (late Tom), Heather Ann Adams (Dave), Donal (Christine) and James.
A funeral Mass was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Church, Achill (2458 Concession Rd 4, Loretto, ON L0G1L0). A celebration of life was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Rod Abrams Funeral Home Ltd. ~ Cliffside Hall (1666 Tottenham Rd, Tottenham, ON L0G1W0).
