He was predeceased by : his parents, Mary Nicholls (Davis) and Rayburn Nicholls; his granddaughter Rebecca Uetz; and his siblings, Wendy Nicholls, Cindy Nicholls, Brian Nicholls and Randy Nicholls.

He is survived by : his wife Melody (Simms) of Loring; his children, Stacey Uetz of North Bay and Deanne Spry (Richard Spry) of St. Thomas; his grandchildren, Kreszentia Uetz, Mary-Beth Uetz-Trotter (Jeffery Trotter), Austin Spry (Aine Zebregts) and Tory Spry (Marshal Begin); his great grandchildren, Christopher Vaillancourt, Theodore Trotter, Daniel Uetz and Mya-Rose Trotter; and his siblings, Garry Nicholls (Anne), Sharon Nicholls (Emmett), Kathy Parks (Norman) and Donald Nicholls.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heritable Arrhythmia Clinic at the UHN Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
