He was predeceased by: his wife Monica (O'Shea); his son Matthew Porter; his parents, Norman Porter and Alice Porter; his sister Nancy McGillivray; his parents-in-law, James and Evelyn O'Shea (Payton); and his brothers-in-law, Charlie O'Shea and Patrick O'Shea.
He is survived by: his children, Sean Porter (Kim), Michael Porter and Erin Fenwick (Jamie); and his siblings, Norman (Terri Porter), Patricia (Robert App), Ron McGillivray, Mike (Diane O'Shea), Beth O'Shea, Anne (Vic Zammit) and Geraldine (Rex McCoy). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Haskett Funeral Home (223 Main St, Lucan, ON N0M2J0). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
