He was predeceased by: his brother Tommy; his parents, Bob Scharf and Jennie; and his stepfather Herbert Davies. He is survived by: his children, Lorne, Tina Rodgers, Desmond, Sarah Rodgers and Chad Rodgers; his stepchildren, Jason, Jamie, Corey, Brandon and Holly; his grandchildren, Steven, Ashley, Adrianna, Justin, Emily, Matthew, Valerie, Jessica, Aiden, Tristan, Kaelan, Mya, Kylee, Marissa and Evan; his great grandchild Iris; his siblings, Joan (Joe), Ricky, Robbie (Judy), Helen (Danny), Sandra (Fred), Leonard (Debbie) and Judy (Scott); and his nephews, Lewis, Dubroy and Marriott.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Haskett Funeral Homes (223 Main St, Lucan, ON N0M2J0). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in Dan's memory would be appreciated by the family.
