Janet (Smith) Ankers Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on December 16, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Janet (Smith) Ankers of Lucan, Ontario. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Brian "Spanky" Ankers; her parents, Leonard Smith and Doreen Smith (Campbell); her parents-in-law, Donald and Betty Ankers; her brothers-in-law, Terry Hickson and Dave Gardiner; her nephew Caleb Lassaline; and her great-nephew Nicholas Smith.

She is survived by: her children, Brad, Tina of Exeter, Mike, Ashley and Jenn; her siblings, Jean Hickson, Linda Snider, Marilyn Carter, Pat (John Ward), Grace (Bob Lassaline), Dave (Linda Smith), Sheila (Brian Dinney), Doug (Noreen Smith) and Sherrie (Andy Ross); and her sister-in-law Linda Thompson. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Donations to the Nicholas Smith Memorial Foundation or for an additional Defibrillator for the Lucan Community Centre (cash or cheques payable to: Township of Lucan Biddulph) would be appreciated by the family.
