He was predeceased by : his parents, Harold Haldenby and Madeleine Haldenby; and his parents-in-law, Omar and Dora Brooks. He is survived by : his wife Marie Haldenby; his children, Allyson, Mike Cowan, Jason, Kendra, Rob and Sherri; his grandchildren, Erin, Wes Massey, Maghan Cowan, Destinee Shepherd, Daija, Devin, Delilah Haldenby, Trent and Maddy Haldenby; his great grandchildren, Ethan, Elyssa Massey and Reo Cowan; his siblings, Sheila Nethercott (Bob) of Forest and Geordie Haldenby (Cathy) of Sarnia; and his brother-in-law Wayne Brooks (Judy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
