Joan Martha Florent Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 28, 2026, Joan Martha Florent (Madawaska, Ontario) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husbands, Garry Florent and William Aleck; and her siblings, Gene, Pat and Dorothy.

She is survived by: her children, Laurie Barnes (William), June Clouthier (Wade), Steve Aleck (Amanda) and Kim Florent; her grandchildren, Angela (Ed), Jonathan (Ashleigh), Miranda, Matthew (Becca), Michelle (Sam), Mark (Autumn), Kate (Josh), Will (Emily) and Tyler; her great grandchildren, Emma, Savaya, Landen, Holden, Carmella, Stirling, Ethan, Kaleb, Rosy, Toby, Madison, Mackenzie, Makayla, Michael, Ayden, Gracie, Riley, Dallas, Carter, Hollie, Tobias and Elsa; and her siblings, Gwen Coulas, Gerald August (Gail) and Gary August (Carol Ann).

Visitation was held on Monday, February 2nd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Tuesday, February 3rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Madawaska Complex (26 Major Lake Rd, Madawaska, ON K0J0C3). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, February 3rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the St. Matthew's Catholic Church (25348 ON-60, South Algonquin, ON K0J0C3).

As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Francis Health Care Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
