He was predeceased by: his daughter Shelley; his brothers, Allan and Dennis Blackburn; and his siblings-in-law, Hazel, George Horn and Danny Dafoe.
He is survived by: his wife Mavis Blackburn; his sons, Perry (Sherry), Brian (Bernadette) and Danny (Krista); his grandchildren, Bradley, Caitlyn (Dylan), Adam (Taylor), Abbey (Anthony) and Kelby (Johnny); and his siblings, Ivan Blackburn (late Marie), Larry Blackburn (Sandra), Nancy Smith, Bonnie Roberts (late Dave) and Loyde Blackburn (Isabella).
Visitation was held on Friday, August 21st 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, August 22nd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Rushnell Funeral Homes - Madoc (112 Durham St S, Madoc, ON K0K2K0). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 22nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, August 22nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Cooper Cemetery (2833 Cooper Rd, Madoc, ON K0K2K0).
