Vera left this world on May 30, 2025 at the age of 97, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Fitzgerald and Lavina Fitzgerald; her husband Robert Wilkes; and her sister Margaret Force (late Garnett). She is survived by: her children, Rick Wilkes, Robert Wilkes (late Star), Karen Wilkes and Ann Paterson (Mike). She is also survived by her nine grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
