He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Worden and Rita Worden (Lennox); his brothers, Frank (Georgina) and Roger; his in-laws, Roy, Ina Hill and George; and his siblings-in-law, Claude, Maudie and Ruby.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine Worden (Hill); his children, Darrell (Donna) and Diane; his grandchildren, Melissa Oleynik (Scott) and Matthew; his great grandchildren, Gabriella, Nate and Lucas; his sisters, Marilyn Dudka Sharron (late Stan) and Carole Airhart (Jim); and his siblings-in-law, Robbie Griffith (Murray), Vi Thompson (Jim) and Ron Hill (Francine). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Irvine Memorial Chapel (2451 County Rd 15, Maitland, ON K0E1P0). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
The family welcomes donations in George's memory to the CPHC - Senior Support Service LL&G Adult Day Program or Brockville General Hospital Palliative Care, causes close to his heart and from which he benefited deeply.
