She was predeceased by: her husband John Thompson; her siblings, Kenneth Furrie, Lillian Charchuk and Joan Furrie; her parents, Helen Furrie and John Furrie; and her granddaughter Jordan Ainsley Whitman.

She is survived by: her children, Brian, Jennifer Welch (Chris), Joanne, James (Mariette), Sheila Whitman (Glenn) and Erin; and her grandchildren, Chelsea, Vanessa, Dylan and Nicolas. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews and friends.
