She was predeceased by : her parents, George Thomson and Helen Thomson; her parents-in-law, Thomas and Elizabeth Abbott; and also Gillian Rae.

She is survived by : her husband David Abbott Sr.; her children, Katrina Cuglietta and David Abbott Jr. (Amanda); her grandchildren, Alysha, Bryanna Cuglietta, Mackenzie and Danika Abbott; her brothers, George Thomson (Mary) and John Thomson (Sonya); her sisters-in-law, Carole Abbott (late James Janke) and Ann Abbott (late Thomas Abbott); and her nieces and nephews, Caroline McDonald, Janice Peters, George Thomson, Steven Thomson, Neville Abbott, Ailsa-Ann Kilroe and Lesley Wright.
