Raymond Lawrence Bertel Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Raymond Lawrence Bertel in Maple, Ontario, who passed away on October 31, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Raymond departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Raymond may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Raymond leaves behind.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Bertel and Julianne Bertel (Barzo). He is survived by: his sister Irene Clarkson; and his close friends, Doc and Norma Nichol.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 21st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ostrander's Funeral Home (43 Bidwell St, Tillsonburg, ON N4G3T6). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (18 Harvest Ave, Tillsonburg, ON N4G0H9). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Tillsonburg Cemetery (43 Bidwell St, Tillsonburg, ON N4G3T6).
