She was predeceased by : her husband John Samuel Strachan; her parents, Herbert Symes and Dorothy Symes; her son Michael; and her siblings, Jack, Paul and Stella.

She is survived by : her children, John (Irene) of Owen Sound, Joanne (Bart) of Toronto, Mark (Starr) of Alberta, Scott of Markdale and Peter of Ottawa; her grandchildren, Jason, Alexandra, Adam, Justin, Jasmine, Samantha, Michael, Jacob, Brianne, Emily and Charmaine; and her great grandchildren, Dillon, Jordan, Allison, Kaitlyn and Ariana.

If desired, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society, the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
