It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Basilio Simon Monteiro (Markham, Ontario), who passed away on July 16, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Serafina Monteiro and Francis Monteiro; and his brother Felix Monteiro. He is survived by: his wife Aramita DeMello; his children, Charmaine, Fermino, Conrad and Monica; and his grandchildren, Deidra, Elisha, Breanne and Caelan.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. Aidan Roman Catholic Church (3501 Finch Avenue East, Toronto, ON M1W2S2). A burial will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Christ the King Cemetery (7770 Steeles Ave E, Markham, ON L6B1A8).
