He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Lynn; his children, David (Karen), Kelly (Ed) and Ryan (Melody); his grandchildren, Cynthia, Paton, Aliya, Jake, Marcus, Lucas, Caleb, Keegan, Kyle and Ryan; his parents, Kay Simms and Stephen Simms; his stepfather Grant McVey; and his siblings, John (Janice) and Pat (Jeff).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Tire Jumpstart, a charity that helps make sports and play accessible to all Canadian kids.
