It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Evagelos Pastrikakis of Markham, Ontario, who passed away at the age of 90, on September 24, 2025. As we bid Evagelos farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Evagelos is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Chrissoula; his daughter Helen; and his grandsons, Evan and Jacob. He was also cherished by his many nieces, nephews, and godchildren, Angelo was more than an uncle.
Viewing will be held on Monday, September 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the St. Panteleimon Greek Orthodox Church (11359 Warden Ave., Markham, ON L6C1M9). A burial will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Elgin Mills Cemetery (1591 Elgin Mills Rd E, Richmond Hill, ON L4S1M9).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Evagelos (Angelo) would be appreciated. A donation box will be available at visitation, to be donated to Monasteries.
