We are sad to announce that on January 1, 2022, George Anderson (Markham, Ontario) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his granddaughter Charlene Mowder; his parents, Richard Anderson and Gertrude Anderson; his foster parents, Lloyd Baker and Rose Baker; his brother Ralph (Bun); and his former wives, Elaine and Gerrie.

He is survived by : his wife Carole; his children, Bonnie Mercer (Phil), Victor Anderson (Kathi) and Teresa Mowder (Steve); his grandchildren, Katelyn Mercer (Chris Stevens), Christine (Eric Maly), Carrie (Blair Woodruff) and David Anderson; and his great grandchildren, Sedrick Mowder, Emily and Chloe Maly. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 5th 2022 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Dixon-Garland Funeral Home (166 Main St N, Markham, ON L3P1Y3). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 6th 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Garland Funeral Home (166 Main St N, Markham, ON L3P1Y3). As per the family's request, all guests must show proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to attend* Funeral Livestream.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
