“Hi there Max and family...this is Wendy, Doris Bird's daughter. I just picked up a message from my uncle George's son telling me about the death of Gwen. Needless to say, I was shocked. I am so sorry for your loss. I will always remember her as such a friendly and good soul. I know my mom loved her company. She does not know this news yet, but I will sadly pass it on to her. Unfortunately, she also recently lost her sister Betty, so will be difficult to tell her. Please accept our condolences. So sorry we were not able to attend the funeral, as we did not know. If you have a chance to send your phone number or email address, I will have mum give you a call in the near future. My cell # 416 560 1017 and email [email protected]. Thank you. Again, so sorry for your loss, she was a lovely lady.”
