Joanne Marie Brennan Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joanne Brennan on February 4, 2019 at age 72.
Joanne was born in Toronto on September 19, 1946 to Helen and Tom Gariepy. She married her sweetheart, Chris and enjoyed 51 years of love in that relationship. Chris & Joanne are parents to Christopher (deceased) and Lisa. Joanne had a very special relationship with her grandchildren, Sarah and Julian. She enjoyed her outings to Erie or Florida with Chris & her family and especially enjoyed hunting for gifts for upcoming events. She never forgot any of her friends or family in life events.
She had a long career in Information Technology and would not have retired except for her rapid deterioration due to Parkinson's.
Joanne was predeceased by her brother Tom, and will be missed by her sister Marie, and brother Michael (Rosie), sister in law, Carmel and her nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place on Friday, February 8, 2019 from 7pm to 9pm at Dixon- Garland Funeral Home , 166 Main Street North, Markham. A Celebration of Life will take place at St Patrick's Parish, 5633 Hwy 7, Markham at 12 noon on Saturday, Feb 9, 2019. Internment will take place at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetary, 8361 Yonge St, Thornhill, ON.
