It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marina Lee Sweet (Markham, Ontario), who passed away on July 29, 2020, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Wilfred Sweet and Marie Sweet; her sisters, Mona Lee and Mary Grace (George MacInnis); her nieces, Marina Lee (Opsahl) and Mary (Davis); her nephew Michael (MacInnis); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Keith, Jessica, Morgan Tyler and Madison.

Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Sick Kids.

“I loved this amazing woman, Marina! She was the sister of my foster mother, Mary. She often came to visit and her presence was always warm, caring and full of mischief in a good, fun way! Marina noticed things and responded in kind. I have often thought of her generosity and her assistance to her sister and brother-in-law, George while supporting young women throughout their journey. “My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family from me & my family. My mother& I both worked with Marina @ CCAS. She was an amazing lady,a kind heart and soul,a rock when needed. I recall one day, one of many overwhelming days. Marina told me to pack up my stuff & head out with her. She treated me to Bingo.The first time I'd ever played. She had all her cards lined up across the table, me with my one strip. As she read a book, played her cards, she dabbed my missed #s :) Monica McGarry”
