As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Van may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parent Patsa. He is survived by: his wife Anne; his children, Patricia (Mile) and Jimmy; and his grandsons, James, Noah and Isaiah.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 9th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Highland Funeral Home - Markham Chapel (10 Cachet Woods Ct, Markham, ON L6C3G1). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Dimitrija Solunski Macedonian Orthodox Church (201 Main Street Markham N, Markham, ON L3P1Y4). A burial was held on Saturday, January 10th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Highland Hills Memorial Gardens (12492 Woodbine Ave, Gormley, ON L0H1G0).
