Lionel Oscar Groulx Obituary

GROULX, Lionel Oscar (Meno / Minnow) - Of Mattawa, Ontario It is with heavy hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of Lionel Oscar Groulx on July 02, 2018 at the age of 74 years. Lionel was predeceased by his longtime partner Jean (Hillier) LAMBERT (2001). Lionel was born in Quebec (opposite side in front of Mattawa, Ontario) on July 18, 1943. He leaves behind his 4 adult children Maurice, Suzette, Denis, Michel and their mother Yvonne Groulx (nee Amyot / Amiot) and 8 grandchildren & 2 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents (Denis Louis Groulx & Liza Lapensee) his sister Cora Groulx and brother Armand Joseph (Bazz) Groulx and grandson Mitchell Groulx. Dear brother of Denise Chauvin (late Bob) of Hanmer and Marcel (Theresa) of Welland and fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Lionel was a man of many hidden talents along with a vivid imagination I clearly recall back in the day he would practically take anything apart mechanically or electronically and reconstruct it back in working order and he also played several musical instruments (guitar, banjo and mandolin) with great professionalism. Final resting place will be at the St. Anne's Cemetery in Mattawa, Ontario.
