She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Lloyd Martin and Elma Bryant; and her sister Margaret Martin. She is survived by: her spouse Russell Charles Surtees; and her children, Larry Surtees (Christine), James Surtees (Melanie Lapointe), Margaret Hurd and Betty Thompson (Robert). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
