He was predeceased by: his siblings, Stuart (Sally), Allan (late Marlene), Shirley (late Keith) and Garth (Marilyn); and his parents, John Buchan and Beatrice Buchan.

He is survived by: his wife Heather Buchan; his children, Kirsty and Rory (Melissa); his grandchildren, Megan, Mackenzie, Ava, Lily and Hadley; his brothers, Gordon (Heather) and Myles (Karen); and his siblings-in-law, Bob (Hazel), Clare (Ramona) and Wendy (Bill). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations to the St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Martintown or to the Glengarry Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
