He was predeceased by: his wife Fernande Wensink; his siblings, Joseph (late Marlene), George (Nellie), Bill (Gail), John (late Annie) and Drika Hooft (late Derk); and his parents, Derk Jan Wensink and Gerharda Somsen.
He is survived by: his children, Ricky (Vera), Susan (Raymond), Kathy (Allison), Geraldine St. Denis (Robert), David (Jackie) and Robert; his siblings, Herman Wensink and Dini McNaughton; his grandchildren, Josh, Jennifer, Jaleesa, Shawn, Allan, Shannon, Jessica, Cody, Hadie, Jake, Andrew, Adam, Tracy, Megan, Cheyanne, Bailey and Logan; and his close friend Simone Laferriere. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
