He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Brenda; his children, Chris Simpson (Dana Howe), Chad Simpson, Becky Simpson, Miranda Labonte (Justin) and Katie Moore (Elise Johnston); his siblings, Jim (Dianne), Tom (Maureen), Sue Carr (Ted) and Ann (John); his grandchildren, Alyssa (Hysen), Brooks and Ava; and his parents, Stephen and Jean. He was also cherished by many extended family members and countless friends.
