“We only today learned of the passing of Bernice, She was a good friend to ours in Portugal for many years. She was always cheerful and caring. She would organize an afternoon coffee time at our favourite cafe terrasse for as many Canadians as she could find to invite. We had a great time. She always had a backpack with her painting necessities and of course she had her camera. We are saddened to hear of her death. She had a long and extraordinary life. We love her. “Aunt bernice was such an inspiration she was for me, i remember when i was in college i lived in mississauga for a while and her and i would get together and have dinner and she would show me her photography. I remember her coming to our house when we were kids and her talking to my dad about uncle john, sweet memories. She was always the link for the antaya family, she will always be in our hearts. To all my antaya cousins, my deepest sympathies, aunt bernice was a gem. Christine antaya”
