Carmel Boughey Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carmel Boughey (Midland, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 24, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry Carmel's memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. May Carmel's journey be filled with peace and serenity, and may she find rest in the embrace of eternity.

She was predeceased by: her former husband Allen Andrews; her parents, John MacCabe and Margareta MacCabe; and her sister Kathleen Holt. She is survived by: her husband Aubrey Boughey; her friend Elizabeth Gaudet; and also Kath MacCabe. She is also survived by her many friends, extended family.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Nicholls Funeral Home (330 Midland Ave, Midland, ON L4R3K7). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Margaret's Catholic Church (589 Hugel Ave, Midland, ON L4R1W3). A burial will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the St. John's Catholic Cemetery (13707 ON-12, Waubaushene, ON L0K2C0). A reception will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the St. Margaret's Catholic Church (589 Hugel Ave, Midland, ON L4R1W3).

As per Carmel's wishes - in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Franciscan Fraternity (etransfer to [email protected]) or to Doctors Without Borders.
