He was predeceased by: his former wife Anne (Gillis); his parents, Stephen James MacDonald and Veronica Campbell; and his siblings, Mary, Annie, Amelia, Gertrude, Rita, Margaret, John, William, Walter, Kenneth, Leo, Ronald and Bernard.

He is survived by: his wife Catherine (Dupuis); his children, Nanci (Jim), Tim (Michelle), Mark (Louise), Michele, George Jr. (Eileen), Kent (Elizabeth), Derek and Cheryl (Jason); his grandchildren, Stephanie (Mike), Patrick, Kyle, Caitlin, Rebecca, Abbigale (Jo), Adam, Peter, Megan, Cameron, Liam, Gabriella and Arthur; and his sister Theresa of Hamilton.

Memorial donations to the Georgian Bay General Hospital Foundation or St Vincent de Paul would be welcomed.
