He was predeceased by: his wife Alexandra; and his siblings, Ernst (Renate), Frieder (Ingeborg), Hanneliese Schmidt (Heinz-Jochen), Ruth and Dora Wolf (Klaus).

He is survived by: his sons, Carl and Robert; his daughter-in-law Michelle; his grandchildren, Joel, Braelyn, Alora, Julia and Erika; and his siblings, Hanns-Martin (Ursula) and Margrit Lee (Walter). He is also survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, relatives, and friends.

Their partnership was the cornerstone of his life, and together they built a loving family and lasting contributions to the communities they cherished.
