With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Charles Fischer of Mildmay, Ontario, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 8, 2026 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Helene; his daughter Karen; his grandson Billy; his great grandchild Jack; his siblings, Jean Weber (Wilfred), Marie Waechter (Percy), Melinda Dixon (John), Leo Fischer (Marguerite), Isabel Dietrich (Robert), Jerome Fischer (Rosella), William Fischer, Ervin Fischer (Anne), Alfred Fischer, Leonard Fischer (Mary), Laverne Breig (Simon), Ron Fischer and Lloyd Fischer; his brothers-in-law, Ed Haelzle and William Goetz; and his parents, Dominic Fischer and Pauline Fischer.
He is survived by: his children, Rosemary Devlin (John) of Mildmay, Audrey Dettman (Curtis) of Howick Township, Ann Anstett (Glen) of Sarnia, Tom Fischer (Beth) of Mildmay and Ken Fischer (Cyndi) of Mildmay; his son-in-law Tom Detzler; his grandchildren, Katie, Sarah, Kristy, Lisa, Russ, Shawn, Vicky, Laura, Nancy, Rob, Skyler, Coulton, Connor, Dan, Brett and Val; his siblings, Betty Haelzle, Paula Weber (Allen) and Pat Goetz; and his sisters-in-law, Laura Fischer and Helen Fischer. He is also survived by 30 Great Grandchildren.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Walkerton and District Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
