Ellen Schmalz Obituary
We bid farewell to Ellen Schmalz (Mildmay, Ontario), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 5, 2026 at the age of 70. Ellen touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Nadine and Doug. She is survived by: her husband Nook; her grandchildren, Charlie, Rylie, Ellie, Keaton, Jade, Marley, Ty, Olivia, Gaby, Hannah and Charlee; her great grandchildren, Colton, Declan and Ryder; her siblings, Craig, Bub and Dorothy; and her aunt Ellie (Alf). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and their partners.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 9th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Mildmay Community Centre (24 Vincent St, Mildmay, ON N0G2J0).
In honor of her legacy, we will be collecting donations for the Alzheimer Society, and we will have some cookbooks available.
