He was predeceased by: his parents, George Schaefer and Della Schaefer; his brother-in-law Jim Nelson; and his nephew Jason Vaughan. He is survived by: his siblings, Francis Schaefer (Bea) of Belmore, Barb Marklevitz (George) of Wingham, Helen Vaughan (Jim) of Walkerton, Joan Nelson of Walkerton, Gerald Schaeffer of Walkerton, Dave Schaefer (Barb) of Walkerton, George Schaefer of Mildmay and Don Schaefer (Charlene) of Walkerton.
