He was predeceased by: his wife Beverley; his children, John (Jack), Karen, Jeff, Sherry, Janice, Murray Opsteen, Julie, Matt and Walsh; his grandchildren, Jeremy Feenstra, Kim Kalteis, Jeffrey, Uli Feenstra, Danielle, Scott McCormick, John Dauphinee, Rachel, Owen, Grace Opsteen and Avery Walsh; his great grandchildren, Freya Feenstra and Spencer McCormick; his siblings, Stella, Bill Lekx, Hans, Elaine Feenstra, Stan and Mary Feenstra; his siblings-in-law, Valda and Larry May; his parents, Charlie Feenstra and Baukje Feenstra; and his sisters, Teena and Anna. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
