He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth Swan (Betty); and his siblings, Richard, Jenny, Mary and William.
He is survived by: his sisters, Jean Ferguson and Shirley Smith of Scotland; his daughter Myra Gibbs (Swan); his grandchildren, Carrie Blakely (Robert) and Derrin Gibbs (Kevin Vose); his great grandchildren, Norah and Alice Blakely; and his friend Alma Hopkin.
