He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Chong and Ivy Chong. He is survived by: his wife June; his children, Paul (Robyne), Tracey (Peter) and Gary (Evelyn); his sister Claire (Bill); his grandchildren, Bethany (Tim), Seth, Daniel, Sophie (Spencer) and Kai; and his great grandchildren, Theo, Evan and Findlay.

A memorial service was held on Thursday, September 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the McKersie & Early Funeral Home Ltd. (114 Main St E, Milton, ON L9T1N5).
