He was loved and cherished by many people including: his son Brett; his daughter-in-law Victoria; his grandchildren, Madison and Shannon; and his siblings, George, Wayne, Russell, Rodger, Deb and Sandra. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the McKersie & Early Funeral Home Ltd. (114 Main St E, Milton, ON L9T1N5). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A reception was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the same location.
