She is survived by: her children, David, Gina, Jim, Charles, Eric and Steve; her daughter-in-law Kristin; her grandchildren, Kristi, Alyssa (Alex), Stephanie (André), Kylie, Rowan, Lilly and Lorenzo; her great grandchildren, Annie and Aaron; and her son Craig.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Milton District Hospital Foundation in Valerie's memory, in gratitude for the care and compassion she received.
