Though Jamie may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Jamie touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Helen, Marshall Leighton and Karen O'Connor; and his aunt Debbie O'Connor. He is survived by: his parents, Peter Leighton (Michelle) and Janet Divell (Gord); his son Rowyn Leighton-Divell; his brother Justin Leighton (Amy); his grandfather Bob Parker (Caroline); and his aunt Sue Russell (Stu). He is also survived by many cousins, family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Gordon A. Monk Funeral Home Ltd. (127 Bobcaygeon Rd, Minden, ON K0M2K0).
Memorial Donations to the Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes or to the Snowflake Meadow Rescue (by cheque only) would be appreciated by the family.
